millwright v1.16.0
Undo reverses the database too, and a list of recent updates
New
- A Recent updates tab. Like the update list in an app store, it shows what changed on this forum and when: each update, install and removal, with its time, the version change, and whether it finished, was undone or stopped. It's kept in its own small file, so it survives the clean-up of old rollback copies, and the newest 50 entries are kept.
Fixed
- Undoing an update reverses the database changes it made. Before, undo put the old code back but left the database as the newer version had changed it, so the older version could end up running on a database it wasn't written for. Each update now records exactly which migrations it ran, and undo reverses those first, newest first, through each migration's own
down step, before putting the files back. If any of them can't be reversed, undo changes nothing and explains why. The confirm box says how many database changes undoing will reverse. - "Check now" updates the cards straight away. A newly found update was counted but missing from its card until the page was reloaded.
Tested with the environment matrix, which now also checks that database changes are recorded and reversed. All 52 checks pass across Flarum-in-a-box, a standard Flarum 2 Docker image, the official zip on shared-hosting settings, and composer create-project driven from the CLI and from the web.
Thanks to ClaudiusH for all three.
